We have been contacted by Rwandan refugees living in a refugee camp in Congo Brazaville. These refugees have informed us that their children are not accessing local education. This is caused by lack of financial means that is needed to contribute to the cost of education of their children.
In collaboration with the local catholic church and local humanitarian agencies, we will identify children that are most vulnerable in that particular refugee camp so that we can identify sponsors that can assist them.
Orpran and young girls will be prioritised in this support because they have been found to be the most vulnerable. Our collaboration with the local refugee supporting organisation will be important and necessary in ensuring that the right children are supported.
